Wayne is the original Owner and Senior Physiotherapist of Reactivate Physiotherapy and excels in providing high quality musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy to his patients. His experienced team of physiotherapists all have strong links with Hampshire's top orthopaedic consultants. This enables swift diagnosis and access to imaging services, pre and post-operative rehabilitation through to treatment of sporting and general injuries.
Wayne has a wealth of experience in treating professional footballers, rugby players, swimmers, sailors, golfers, triathletes, cyclists and dancers amongst other high profile sports. He has a specialist interest in rehabilitation after Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction surgery.
Wayne exclusively sees knee patients and top level sports injuries, so you may be best seeing members of his team for other injuries.
Ricky Lidbetter | Director and Senior Physiotherapist

Ricky is a Senior Physiotherapist at Reactivate Physiotherapy and is a specialist in musculoskeletal sports injuries and orthopaedic rehabilitation, with a particular interest in running related injuries. He has worked at the company since 2007, initially as a Sports Therapist and now as a qualified Physiotherapist after finishing his degree in 2011 with first class honours.
Having worked at Portsmouth Rugby club since 2007, he has provided assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for the players at the club, along with Sports First Aid at pitch side on Saturdays. He became 1st team physio at the club in 2011 and has continued to carry out this role to date.
His wealth of experience and interest in the sports industry has helped him excel with the ability to diagnose and treat complex sports related injuries.
Outside of physiotherapy, Ricky is a keen footballer and enjoys road cycling and running.
Mel Wilks | Senior Physiotherapist
Specialising in: Spinal Management and TMJ syndrome
Works at: Petersfield, Waterlooville
Mel graduated from Southampton University in 2010 with a degree in Physiotherapy BSc (Hons). She started her career within the NHS, gaining vital experience in the core rotations, before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
She has since worked in a variety of settings, including with county rugby teams and charities, which has developed a wide range of physiotherapy skills and techniques. Mel has experience in treating a variety of conditions, including persistent pain, post-operative rehabilitation and acute sporting injuries. Mel also has a keen interest in the management and recovery from spinal conditions, and regularly runs Pilates classes which help to complement the rehabilitative process.
Outside of physiotherapy, Mel enjoys going to the gym or keeping active, which normally involves running around after her little girl!
Hannah Neat | Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor
Specialising in: Clinical Pilates, Post-Operative and Sports Physiotherapy

Hannah qualified with a degree in Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) from Brunel University, in addition to a Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy. Having been involved in athletics from a young age, Hannah knows first hand the difference physiotherapy can make, and so aims to use her skills to ensure treatment returns patients to their chosen sport or activity safely. As well as athletics, Hannah has participated in a number of different sports, including football, swimming and triathlon, and has provided pitch-side cover for a number of rugby clubs. This has given her an insight into a variety of common injuries sustained during sports.
To complement Physiotherapy, and Sports Massage, Hannah is a fully qualified and certified Pilates teacher, which enables her to use a variety of techniques to gain the best possible outcome for patients, as well as taking Pilates classes. She has experience in treating a variety of people, including paediatrics, sporting enthusiasts, post-operative and rehabilitation patients.
Isadora Green | Physiotherapist
Specialising in: Musculoskeletal and Paediatric Physiotherapy

Isadora qualified with a degree in Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) from York St. John University. She completed her core rotations as a physiotherapist for the NHS in respiratory care, intensive care, neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal outpatients and oncology, and was an active member of the on-call respiratory service throughout this time. This has given her a broad knowledge base and enables her to take an holistic approach to injuries, as well as use her experience in treating a variety of patients, including paediatrics, post-operative and rehab.
As well as taking part in fitness and sports, including weights, skiing, and cycling, Isadora has a specific interest in paediatric physiotherapy in all age groups. Alongside her current work with Reactivate at Winchester College and Bedales, she works part time at Treloars in Alton, a special school for children with complex needs including neurological physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, rebound and respiratory physiotherapy.
Joe Smith | Physiotherapist
Specialising in: Sports injuries and Orthopaedic rehabilitation, with further interest in Neuromuscular injuries.
Works at: Waterlooville
Joe completed an undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Chichester, followed by a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy (pre-registration) at the University of Southampton. In addition to this he is qualified in Sports and remedial massage and sports taping.
Currently Joe is also working for the NHS as a rotational physiotherapist, with experience so far within Pulmonary rehabilitation, Orthopaedics and currently Acute Stroke. As well as having his own massage clientele and experience within hydrotherapy, he has previously worked with rugby teams providing pre- and post- game massage, taping and pitch-side therapy. With many personal rugby related injuries, Joe has a good understanding of contact sport injuries and the importance of getting back to full fitness before getting back to competition.
Outside of physiotherapy, Joe enjoys playing Rugby, enjoys running and swimming and practices Muay Thai.
Leanne Robertson| Sports Therapist
Specialising in: Lower limb sports injuries and performance enhancement, neck and back pain, sports massage, Pregnancy Massage

Leanne qualified as a Sports Therapist in 2018 from the University of Chichester. Her career history has included working alongside the Royal Navy Netball Team, the Royal Navy U23 Rugby, the Royal Maritime Reserves Field Gun Crew, Portsmouth RFC injury clinic and pitch side assistance, and running her own small business.
Leanne has worked with a variety of athletes, from CrossFit athletes, to Para-Olympians, providing treatments whilst they are training, pre and post competitions.
Leanne enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities to optimise their health and function for performance.
She is a member of the Society of Sports Therapists, and the Sports Therapy Association.
Carys Devonald | Administration and Pilates Instructor
Specialising in: Comprehensive Pilates

Carys qualified as an APPI Comprehensive Matwork Instructor in 2018, completing the fully certified course in London of the highest standard and has since done a CPD course specialising in pilates for children. She delivers our Schools Programme alongside Hannah and Chloe, as well as running the administrative side too. Teaching 1-to-1 Pilates, as well as small group and classes, Carys works with our patients who are interested in Pilates for fitness, maintenance and injury prevention. She is keen to expand her knowledge with several specialist courses lined up.
She is also one of our main receptionists, keeping the diaries running smoothly, and answering your queries.
Outside of work Carys can often be found in the gym, keeping fit, or enjoying life with her friends!
Cae Devonald | Lead Practice Manager
My name is Cae Devonald and I have the dubious pleasure of being married to Wayne (!!) and we have run Reactivate Physiotherapy Ltd together over the past 15 years. I have three girls, two dogs and two horses. Whenever possible I like to be outside!
My main role is to oversee the office and accounts side of things as Practice Manager and I am very fortunate to have a great team in the office to help me out.
Nicky Smith | Office Manager
I am Nicky and I have worked on a part time basis for Reactivate for the past few years, my main roles are reception and accounts.
I enjoy going to the gym, playing golf, walking, theatre, cooking and anything else that keeps me busy!
