Back pain

Back pain is a common occurrence throughout the population - from office workers to elite athletes, a variety of factors can contribute to back pain. From posture and muscular problems, to disc and joint driven pain, at Reactivate Physiotherapy we approach each patient as an individual, to find the underlying cause of your pain. This may include referral to an orthopaedic consultant if we feel this is necessary, although not all back pain requires imaging. Many cases of lower back pain resolve over time, but with assistance from physiotherapy you can reduce the risk of a reocurrence.

Physiotherapy may include Pilates based exercises, joint mobilisation, soft tissue therapy or a stretching programme, which your physiotherapist will guide you through and enable you to complete at home.

Neck pain following car accidents, 'text neck' or sporting injuries are becoming more common, and our physiotherapists are trained in assessing, diagnosing and treating these conditions and many more head and neck problems. Post-operatively, we work with some of the top consultants in the South East to get you back to your desired activities as soon as possible, whilst progressing within the surgeons protocols.
